look book: all that glitters is sequins

Yep, I was in shorts one day and then rainboots the next. One thing some of you may know is that I loooove the rain! I'm pretty much obsessed with it and anytime there's even the slightest chance of rainfall {even 10%} I get very giddy! Such is the story of Saturday. When I saw it drizzling outside my bedroom window I quickly planned on wearing my rainboots that I got three years ago and have worn a sad amount of times. Of course within a couple hours the skies were clear and I just looked like the biggest fool for traipsing around in galoshes. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
button up J.Crew, pants Urban Outfitters, sequin jacket Baby Phat c/o Lucky Magazine, rainboots Hunter, scarf Tulle {similar in charcoal}

I'm of the mindset that it's never too early or too late to wear sequins. Sequins really aren't just for holiday. They're also for helping perk up what was supposed to be a gray day, and then eventually blinding Matthew in the car on a sunny one!

Happy Thursday!

I LOVE the rain too. I think it comes from growing up in Cali and it being such a rare thing. I thoroughly enjoy living in the South where it rains quite a bit. If only it didn't do such terrible things to my hair...

I LOVE how you styled that beautiful sequin top - it makes for such an amazing casual & totally chic look. And rain you say?! I do love it too, but I must admit we get way too much of it here in Vancouver ...like sometimes it rains for two weeks straight. I'd love to steal all of your sunshine. ;)

I've been debating on whether I should buy Hunter rain boots for a long time now but have never taken the plunge. I just don't know how I feel about the price tag they have for well...rubber boots. :(

I love it! I like rain too--especially now that I have Hunters. Mine are yellow & I get a LOT of stares, but they definitely brighten up gloomy days!
Love the sequins too--I only can imagine how blinding they would be in the sun!

Hi Jessica and Laura! My nailpolish is a tiny little ORLY bottle that I got from Planet Beauty. Unfortunately there's not a name on it but the numbers on the bottom are: 0121110. I'm sorry there isn't a name :( I got it recently though so hopefully you can find it in a beauty supply store!

This has inspired me to have more sequins in my life--they will perfect to brighten up these grey months.

And I really need to get some wellies for walking instead of covering my lovely leather boots in mud.

I love that your Hunters are a little roughed up. All the better!

My Life And Loves said...

Love your outfit & Ive always wanted a pair of hunter wellies:)
I'm jealous of the fact that you have a 'lack' of rain where you live!!! I would most definatly swap ... it makes life that much more difficult when it is wet all the time!! Thinking about it, I really should invest in a pair of hunters ;)

That's such a perfect outfit, I swear! You pull it off really well.
