goodbye angeli caffe

Wednesday night Matthew and I mourned the closing of one of our favorite LA restaurants, Angeli Caffe. We went there on some of our first Los Angeles dates and it's been a favorite for delicious and affordable Italian food. The restaurant has been around for 27 years which makes the closing even more sad. We'll always remember you Angeli!

the most interesting and delicious homemade beet gnocchi!
Doesn't it remind you of a cake pop? haha

And now let's take a look back at me and Matthew at Angeli 2 1/2 years ago! yikes we look like babies!
I sure did love that boyfriend of mine :)

Have a great weekend everyone!!
I'm planning on taking it easy since I'm still recovering from this cold. I have a bunch of sleep to catch up on!

So sad! I don't know what I would do if my favorite restaurant closed down. My friends and I go every week. I might have to cook more often. Yikes!!!

Feel better!

Awh! This is so sad it's closing! I'm not sure how to deal with a favorite restaurant closing, but I'm sure y'all will find somewhere equally as good to make new memories at!

Giiiiirrrrrl, I just found your blog through bloglovin'. You looked cute & interesting so I checked your twitter (& wedding section :P), and found your Portuguese last name. I WANT DEETZ! I'm sending you Portuguese-Canadian love from Chicago (I'm here doing my Masters & loving the USofA).

Cheers,
I'm probably going to be spending the whole week perusing your blog, so if you see random comments 5 months late.. it's me. :)

That sucks about a fave restaurant closing! Especially one that, I assume, isn't a chain!!
But it's cute that you have pictures of you guys from way back, and now to look back on!
